Dr. Gene Rohacz, D.P.M.

- Dr. Gene Rohacz, D.P.M. earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1992. He completed his podiatric-surgical residency at the Hunter Holmes-McGuire VAMC in Richmond, VA.
- Dr. Rohacz received a patient’s praise letter for outstanding service from the VA newsletter and is an active staff member at both Hillsdale Hospital and Eaton Rapids Hospital.
- Dr. Gene Rohacz, D.P.M., is board certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine, and Lower Extremity Geriatric Medicine. He is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the International Foot and Ankle Foundation.
- In the community, he has served as the attending podiatrist at St. Peter’s Free Health Clinic and has organized shoe drives at local and national levels, helping to dispense over $15,000 in free shoes for the homeless in southern Michigan.
- Dr. Rohacz has received the Hillsdale Daily News “People’s Choice Award” multiple years. He is a published author in the American College of Sports Medicine (June 2021) with “Prevalence of Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome with coexisting neurological disorders,” and in the Journal of the Peripheral Nerve System (June 2021) with “Prevalence of Coexisting Neurological Disorders in the Lower Extremities.”
- He has served as treasurer and secretary of the Southern Division of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association and has been involved with the Cascades Exchange Club, where he has held roles including president, vice-president, and board member. He received the “Exchangite of the Year” award for his service.
- Outside of medicine, Dr. Rohacz holds a black belt in Isshinryu Karate, finished in the top ten for hand forms in 2005 in the PKC, and is an amateur magician.
